An educator can be so much more than a provider of academic material and reasoning! An educator has the ability to foster hope. Hope for a better, smarter and healthier future- for everyone! Part of this role is understanding, and acknowledging that there are many different and valuable ways that knowledge can be shared. Cultures everywhere have ways of knowing and doing that is their own. First Peoples have incredible ways of educating that have been ignored and overlooked for too long. First Peoples themselves have been ignored, suffered racism and prejudices for too long.
